On October 10, 2023 we pushed the first version of pitch2table to production. Pitch2table has come along way since that first release and today we announce new features like sessions that take it further still.

We thought of going live with this on October 10. 2025 but held off with Devcon and PAX in Australia and then Essen. It’s better to wait and not disrupt designers who need pitch2table working during pitch opportunities.

So with version 6 we announce the following:

  • Planned pitch, play test, demo and talk sessions
  • Calendar integration
  • Travel mode
  • Quick royalty add & unpaid royalties report
  • And heaps of little improvements

Sessions

This is the big new feature. You can now record your planned sessions with publishers whether it’s a pitch, a demo at a stand or a play test. You can link sessions to conventions as well. In summary you can create a session that says:

  • I’m pitching Game 1, 2 and 3 to Asmodee at Essen
  • I’m pitching Game 1 to twelve different publishes during Unpub Speed Pitching
  • I’m running a demo at the TGDA booth from 2-4pm
  • I’m giving a talk on play testing, etc
  • I have a play test organised for 11am

Why this is useful. In our experiences working with publishers, not all of these types of activities come with invites. Most pitches with publishers come with an invite, but a demo slot is likely a spreadsheet somewhere.

The organised designer can make their own invites in whatever calendar system you use. With pitch2table you can create those sessions and associate with the games, publishers and event you’ve linked it to.

Those sessions will then appear on your dashboard as they approach and you’ll get a reminder notification on the day.

Add session modal with option for linking to an event as well as multiple games and publishers.
Adding a session

You can create sessions directly from events, games or publishers. Each session supports multiple publishers and games.

Sessions is available for all users on mobile and web.

Calendar Integration

With calendar integration you subscribe to a personalised calendar feed that updates automatically based on what you have setup in pitch2table.

We have support for:

  • Events – Events run from start to finish in the time zone of the event so you know exactly when it starts and when it finishes in your home timezone.
  • Sessions – each session is also shown in the correct timezone

In the screenshot below, the designer had multiple demos, play tests and talks organised over 3 different events in a single extended weekend.

Calendar Integration is part of our new premium tier and is supports mail clients that can subscribe to ICS files like Apple Mail and Gmail.

Travel Mode

Some designers are fortunate enough to be able to travel to conventions and pitch their games in person. Or, for one of our team recently, was travelling in Japan when the Pegasus Spiele designer days were on. Often, you’ll be planning these pitches in advance and when you land you may find you’ve got to unpick your home timezone, from the publisher timezone and your current timezone.

Enable travel mode

Travel mode is here to help with that. When we detect your mobile device has changed timezones we ask if you’re travelling and you can choose to set it. We’ll ask you again when you change locations or return home.

When active, travel mode shows session times in up to three timezones. The timezone of the event, your home timezone and the timezone of where you are now.

Session times shown in multiple timezones.

You’ll note in the event above the Timezone for the event is different to when. This is because today Berlin is not in daylight savings but when the session was on it was. We handle all that for you.

Travel Mode will be a part of our new premium tier. Travel mode is only available on mobile.

Royalty Enhancements

We’ve improved our royalty flows. You can now add a royalty from most royalty screens in the app and it’ll pick up as much context as it can and will pre-fill it. We’ve also added an unpaid royalties report to help give you quick list of who to follow up with.

Royalty reports including unpaid royalties report.

Royalty enhancements are available to all users on mobile and on web.
